I'm getting the following error message.

img.png

Yesterday when I was forced to reboot my machine, I got an error saying that the same file was not valid, so i deleted it. Now, yes it's gone, and it's still causing a problem. How can I resolve this issue permanently?

Thanks so much!

Internet Download Manager module is what that file is associated with.
Were you trying to update or download Adobe Flash Player?
Run a compliment of virus scans as it seems to indicate having some type malware. :cool:

I don't think I was doing anything with the Adobe Flash Player. Maybe something was running in the background. Not sure. Anyway, I'm running a virus check now. Maybe that will fix the issue. However, I don't know what one has to do with the other.

Uninstalling and then re-installing Flash should solve the issues mentioned in your post;
however:
you can limit the risks associated with Flash by not installing the Flash add-on for IE (and not installing the Flash plug-in for non-IE browsers). If you come across content that must have Flash, then open Chrome and let it show you that website. If the website has infected Flash adverts, then you could still get infected, but at least you are not surfing all of the time with a browser that has Flash enabled.

Chrome updates itself and those updates will update Chrome's Flash.

If you would rather not use the method mentioned above to mitigate some of Flash's risks, then there are other ways to protect your computer - like not letting Flash run by default on all websites.

Ok. Thanks for the tip! I'll try this tonight. I need to run off to work right now.

BTW, the virus scan did nothing at all.
