Solved Firefox memory Leak?

That is bizarre. I'm sticking with FireFox 3.6 both Firefox 4 and Chrome are a mess. I upgraded to FireFox 4 instantly when it was released, what a mistake that was and I hate how they changed the UI. Chrome U.I I do like, finding the add-ons I use on firefox would take time but they seriously need to fix the memory leaks that should be their top priority, then I would seriously consider Chrome.

I had that problem too until I made some changes to about:config that can't remember. But it was in the javascript section which only amounts to about a hundred entries and I think they were fairly well covered by the documentation so it is pretty easy to pin down the culprit. Just set insanly large numbers that are connected with memory usage to sane levels. Remember some entries end on mb and mean MiB mebibytes very often falsely called Megabytes. If somebody asks why I wrote this article just tell him that I love to revive dead threads
