GefForce gtx 560-nvlddmkm has stopped responding and recovered(or not)

While playing games such as The Old Republic and Skyrim my graphics drivers frequently fail. Sometimes it doesn't occur at all, more often it happens in under a minute or two. Sometimes it causes my whole system to fail and sometimes just the program that caused the driver to fail. My system is brand new from CyberPower and the stats are as follows:

I am very new to all this. I've tried many simple fixes -- fore example all settings set to "quality"/"high performance" instead of performance in the nvidia control panel and windows power options as well as up dating all my drivers to the latest releases. I also have run a stress test with FurMark which cause a driver failure at over 80 fps in under 1 minute. My best guess from what I've researched is that it is either an insufficient GPU or a problem with the relationship between Windows 7 and my graphics card. I even went so far as to re install windows as well as all the mother board/video card drivers and update them all over again, testing to see if the problem persists at each step (which it did and continues to do). I've been wrestling with this problem for a few days now and I'm getting very frustrated.

Also I've noticed that other people are having the same issue but with over clocked cards. I didn't pay for an overclocked card, additionally my invoice mirrors this though I suppose it's possible that I received one by accident. I've tried finding a way to confirm that my card isn't overclocked but to no avail. It is understandable that with out direct access to my system it is difficult to help hopefully someone might have advice that will make a difference for me. Thanks!

It could be a bad card, it happens.

I get the same thing happen on my 560ti but only when I am overclocking it and the voltage is not high enough.

You could try rolling back to an earlier driver.

People very often find that installing the latest driver leads to problems so trying an earlier one is worth trying.
