hey everyone
i know you guys may have gotten similar threads to this, but i had to ask for help with the following error:
attachment.php

I've looked at some solutions for this, such as changing the environment variables, i did that, but that didn't work, and so i tried to create new config.nt and autoexec.nt files, but when i did that, it told me i had to reinstall the VGA.DRV :confused:and i restored the original config.nt and autoexec.nt files
I know, Windows 7 support has stopped now, but if anyone has any knowledge/advice on this, please help :grouphug:

Yes, I can see that!!

config.nt superceeds config.sys and was used to pass variables and drivers to the system.

What exactly are you trying to do? If you are trying to run an old program on Windows, then have you tried running it in Compatibility Mode?

If you are trying to run a DOS program, then Dosbox may be able to help.

Well, the config.nt file always seemed to be suitable, until on Friday, when i discovered it was not suitable, so the way i see, it could be... damaged (along with autoexec.nt and command.com)

I have always ran them in Compatibility mode, but that hasn't been working on the applications as of Friday either

but i have installed DOSBOX just in case that helps, if not, then i'm not sure what to do

Might be easier to reinstall your program (that depends on config.nt).

yeah, but the un-install and install applications are 16 bit and that error would probably likely come up too...

well, i might as well have to re-install Windows 7 32-bit edition, because i have tried everything

well, i re-did the autoexec.nt and config.nt files and command cmd is working, but now it says i have to reinstall the VGA.DRV to get the 16 bit applications to work, does anybody know how to do this? if so please let me now via this thread
