Hello, can someone please help me with my problems about Windows Update

I have tried to run Windows Update on my computer and received the following error message:


I have also tried Farbar Service Scanner and i got this file

Wow, that is a lot of issues you got there. Your missing a lot of critical windows files.

In my opinion the quickest way to fix your issues is to do a repair install. Make a backup of any important files just in case, but this procedure allows you to keep all your programs and data and just reinstall windows.

Read the whole tutorial, and do not skip any steps!

After the repair install is done, download malwarebytes and run a full scan of your system. If you find any threats, you might want to head over to the security forum to make sure your free from viruses.

Welcome to the forum, you say you have a similar problem. A similar problem to who or what, it would get you help quicker if you actually told the experts what your problem is, do you get updates, do you get any error messages, do you have missing updates ?

You need to post back with more details about your machine and the problem you are having, don't forget the experts can't see your machine and every computer is different so you may think someone else's problem looks the same as yours it may not be and you need different help which is just for your machine.

I'm sure you'll get the help you need when you post back with more details. :)

Sorry for the delayed response - I lost connectivity just after asking a mod to split your problem out from the thread you initially posted to, and I've been playing catchup since I got back online.

It looks to me as if you've had a sever malware infection - how certain are you that the malware is now gone, as there's no point in attempting to fix things until it's clean.


Please download and install Malwarebytes Anti-malware (free version) from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free/ - UNtick 'Enable free trial of MBAM PRO' at the end of the installation - and update it, then run a full scan in your main account, and Quick scans in any other user accounts.

Delete everything it finds
Attach the MBAM report to your reply.

Fixing malware issues after a repair install is too late - malware must be cleaned early to prevent it getting embedded in the new install (if one is actually needed, and I don't think it is)

#5 will fix a lot of your problems. But maybe only temporary .... due to malware

ESET service repair tool, repairs a few services. Services corrupted by malware. These are the services affected and repaired

BITS wasn't missing... now it is. What did you do?

wuauserv is still missing. But ESET repair should have repaired it. Sure you destroyed all malware and virusses?!

Try this Windows Repair (All In One)
Do at least: "repair windows firewall", "repair windows updates", "restore important windows services".

It's almost the same as I expected ESET service repair tool should do.

The UPnPHost service appears also to have been uninstalled.
You also have problems with the ATI drivers, the HomeGroup Provider service,the Function Discovery Provider Host service, the vToolbarUpdater17.1.2 service, the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service and the Windows Image Acquisition (WIA) service (amongst possible others)

I really think that your only option is going to be a repair install - if even that works.


There are also signs of possible problems with the hard drive.
How much free space is there?

Please post ALL the data gathered by the SF BSOD tool - there is a lot missing from the current upload.

yes there is problem with the hdd when booting it says that hdd needs to be checked but it says i can't because due to recent installed program sorry about the sf bsod i will do it again also computer has 93.4Gb free space. Here is the new zip file: View attachment 295117
