In the last day or so I performed some windows updates and my computer stopped behaving well. It started saying that the Windows Update service was turned off even though it was running. What I found was a duplicated Windows Installer service and both were off. Manually turning one of them on solved the windows update message. However, I have no idea how there became two of them or how to clean the duplicate out, or which of the two is a duplicate.
SFC /scannow says there are no problems. Suggestions?
