I have a Windows 7 machine with no blue tooth

I am attempting to connect my blue tooth enabled hearing aids to listen through my Windows desk top.

The Phonak hearing aids blue tooth with Compliot device can connect with no problem to my iPhone, to my Apple laptop

I have a compilot device and it works fine to connect to my TV. I do not want to have to move it back and forth between the TV and the desk top w/o bluetooth.

I purchased a Rock fish USB blue tooth. The windows machine finds the Compilot but say it has no driver.

I called Phonak the hearing aid company they say they do not have a drive for it.

I called rockfish but they say their device is working and and no additional driver is available

I checked several forums but found nothing that will enable to my to connect my Phonak Compilot via the rockfish blue tooth.

I have checked for other devices I could buy but I cannot find one that says it is compatible with the hearing aids hook up. Perhaps they are but the do not list it it.

How can I get my windows desk top (without a built in blue tooth) to connect to my hearing aids?

Here we are, eight years later, and we have the same issues. I don't think the Rocketfish driver was going to work because this BT dongle was already working properly. It sounds to me that he has another device, Compilot, that sits between the BT adapter and his hearing aids. I do not have such an intermediary device and Windows is trying to find drivers for my hearing aid itself (my BT dongle is installed fine). Likewise, I think Windows is trying to find drivers for his Compilot device. I don't know why Windows needs drivers for these devices. The BT adapter should pair with his Compilot or my hearing aid and that's the end of it.

Specifically for me, Windows is looking for drivers for four "Bluetooth Peripheral Device" that show up in Device Manager. Even in 2021, Windows cannot find such a thing. I don't think this issue is just for Windows 7, either. I replied to this thread because of the title and that there must be lots of half-deaf people like myself who would like a direct-connect from PC to our hearing aids via BT. I (and others) have such a connection with iPhones, so why not PC's - here in the 21st century?
