How To Get Rid Of Old System Restore Point Entries

There are five System Image Restore Points I want to delete. The images either no longer exist (I deleted them off an external drive) or they were never created (just starting the process creates an entry).
I believe I started a similar thread a couple of months ago with no resolution.
Hoping for a conclusion this time.

I believe this is what happened the last time I posted this problem. I went through all three of the four methods previously, without success. I tried System
Restore Explorer but I wasn't presented the System Image Backup entries.
Here is a screen shot after going through all four methods.
Any other possibilities ?

Sorry, I missed that these were restore points from a created backup/system image.

As a test, see if doing step 4 in OPTION ONE of the tutorial below to delete all system images may remove these entries as well.

The Capture.jpg shows the entries I see. No system images or backups actually exist since I have the original install disk and don't mind going through reinstall if necessary.
I'm just trying to get rid of the entries I see since they don't exist.
Also, the Manage Space I do not see because there has never been a real backup.
I guess I was hoping someone had noticed where the entries exist.
Think this thread needs to end.

Dates back to almost a year ago. Must be a Win7 thing.

You could try Ccleaner/Tools to remove restore and backups. I do it Brink's way and use Ccleaner at times.

Well, I can look at the dates of the system images and be thankful I haven't had to use one or reinstall the OS because of a virus, etc.

Works for me...

If you run Disk Cleanup, there is a choice under "more options" to delete all but the most recent restore point.

I have no idea how well it works--I've never used it.

I have 55 System Image Restore Points dating back to 11/28/2011.




I have not found out how to get rid of them either, but since they are not hurting anything I don't worry about them.

Btw, for every one reading this, these are not System Restore points.
They are from when I Create a system image.

Hmmm, if you hit Winkey-Pause, click System Protection, then disable protection on all drives, do the entries disappear? If so, you can disable, then enabled as soon as the clutter is removed. Them make restore points as you like.

(I don't use the Windows built in backup. I use Easus ToDo. So chances are good I may be out in left field on this one. Shouldn't hurt to try though. Unless you have restore points you don't want to lose that is.)

I always clear all Restore points(if any)before I create an image.

I just disabled System Protection and Created an image to see, but it made no difference.

Like I said, it doesn't bother me seeing all those entries.

To me removing all restore points after a infection is necessary they could be infected also. Then just create a new one.
