Solved imageres.dll

Hello guys.
I changed my imageres.dll file, some folders are blue as i want, but some of them are still default, yellow.
When i create a new folder, it should appear blue, but is yellow.
How do i have to clear the thumbnail cache ?
I did the disk cleanup, form System Tools.
Is there anything else to clean the thumbnail chache ?
This imageres.dll file was working fine for me, but for some reasons i formated my OS, but i keept the file on my external harddrive.

Try downloadin and using ccleaner. Before you use, look at the tick boxes and make sure that you know what you are deleting.
Dont clean the registry. I leave those boxes un ticked.

Edit : If that is the one made by me, I am very sorry that at the initial stage I was not completely aware of the function of #3 . It is the icongroup which reveals the blank folder .

Download all the archives .... extract it . You will get a imageres with that blue icon , but free from the difficulty .

You may use http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&q=system+file+replacer#/d2pgrwt to replace it , now run either CCleaner as suggested by Richard, or run disk Cleanup, and then rebuild icon cache . After restart, it will work perfectly .

I will attache here my blue folders. I wish i could make it work, again.
Ccleaner i used, too. But still yellow folder comes out, when i create a new folder.
And those blue folders ( imageres.dll ) was working great.
If i attache here a blue folder ( ico file, or png ) could someone create another imageres.dll file, please ??

That is not possible because of thumbnails . The regular shape of the folder thumbnails open in a reverse direction than that folder . If yu want to use this folder as your default folder icon, just follow this tutorial http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/23825-folder-icon-change-windows-7-default-folder-icon.html ; and you are to disable thumbnails .

I don't understand what do you mean, Arc.

Some of them are emty, and some not.
In this image i have a folder with a lot of subfolders and files, inside.

This picture says that you have disabled thumbnails . In this situation, you need not to customize imageres file to change folder icons .... the tutorial link I posted in post #9 of the previous page is enough to customize folder icons where thumbnail is disabled .
