Installing Internet Explorer 11 Offline

Windows 7 64Bit Professional

I don't typically use Internet Explorer but on a different machine I am trying to test something out and can't seem to accomplish a very simple task.
That task is being able to simply install Internet Explorer 11 (64Bit) Offline.

Microsoft offers an "Offline Installer" version, which geniusly the first thing it does upon installing the program, tries searching "online" for a needed update! That's right, and does not allow you to go any further than this.

I am no expert myself, but does anyone know of a way to accomplish this?
I would rather not have to try to download this program from a different (non Microsoft) site, I am hoping that I am just doing something incorrectly.

Hi miketurn1234, I once tried to do the same as you are doing, and I have read a lot of other people have

also tried with the same result, that it would start automatically searching for updates and get nowhere.

I ended up just downloading IE11 from Microsoft, not the offline installer, and it installed and downloaded

all of the updates correctly. I will only download it from Microsoft, but someone else may have another idea

for you.
