Latest Internet Explorer 9 Release
It hits 60fps on the fishtank test, on both IE9 and FFb6, however FF stutters at times, it doesn't effect the frame rate, which stays at 60, but there's a little stutter every second or so. IE9 doesn't do it (doubt it really matters, both beta's) but it certainly does seem more fluid on lots of websites. It seems awesome so far, I just really wish I knew what was wrong with my gadget!
However, one gripe... Whatever updates installed seem to have stopped my CPU meter gadget working.
My only problem as well, this is what my "All Cpu Meter 3.2" Gadget looks like:

Interesting there's no d/l for XP. So much for testing it on my virtual pc. And I'm not going to test in on any work machines. Argh.

Works fine for me. As a few others above have pointed out, it def replaces IE8.
I'll play with it but I'm a pretty much die-hard FF fan now running 4.0b7pre.
IE9 is much faster in rendering motion as the FishIE, on my weak system, shows 30+ FPS at 100 fish on IE9 and only 17 or so on FF.
IE9_Beta ____________FF_4.0b7pre
(Posted with IE9) No issues so far - all gadgets are working fine. Classic Shell still good to go. FF plays nice with it as I have both running right now (and fish swimming in each
).

I dont seem to be having much luck...progress bar gets stuck and nothing seems to be happening. Its been like that for ages now.
That's because Microsoft will not be releasing it for XP as the hardware acceleration is not supported by XP

Yeah, hence the reason that IE9 is only supported on Vista SP2 and higher.

I'm trying to use the Acid3 test, and (I'm guessing) the site is bogged down.

Using it right now. I like the new download manager.
And it does seem way snappier than IE8. There also seems to be a new add-on manager making it easier to see what add-ons you have. Using Adblock right now.

Interesting thing about the memory usage. With the exact same number of tabs (and same corresponding sites), IE appears to use a separate instance for each tab (although it's only showing 5 and I have 6 tabs open?) whereas FF uses only one. Note this does not include "plug-ins" such as IE's activeX controls or FF's eponymous containers.
It's
285,196 for IE9 and
168,568 for FF 4.0b7pre. Big difference. Remember, this is with the exact same sites open.

Very Kool, loving it...i got the x64 bit version and flash works!!
I didn't even think to check for that until I saw your post. Flash is not working on my end in the 64 bit version of IE 9.
EDIT: I'm going to check out the Flash preview versions now...
EDIT 2: Preview Flash version works great in the 64 bit IE 9. Thanks, Adamsuail, for the heads up!
EDIT 3: I still have full screen flash on dual monitors even when the flash window in IE 9 64 bit loses focus.
LOL, final edit. How does one get AdBlock working in IE 9?
