Logitech MX mouse "Stalls" (?) at startup...

This problem has been happening now for about a week or two. I've tried to trace down what started it with no luck.

When I boot the PC the mouse won't move for about 30 seconds, then it works fine. I've noticed that it seems to happen after or as the USB drives come online.

This also happends when I wake the PC from sleep mode.

As I said before, this just began about a week or so ago.

If anyone has any ideas please let me know as this is driving me a bit mad.

drtao mate if you haven't already try downloading the USB drivers I found this list but have no idea which it is cos your specs just say AsRock Extreme and the site is pretty ordinary but have a look.

If you have a branded mouse then maybe you need to update th drive for it too.

Yes I have just had a look around and I guess like most it comes with its own software.

Hi there ... Updating your USB Drivers as already stated might well help .. In order to do this you need the exact Model Number of your Motherboard ... Go to Start type in start in the search box write in CMD right click on it and Run as Adim when the prompt open type the following ... wmic baseboard get product,Manufacturer,version ..

I've reinstalled the drivers on the website for my mb. Still having the problem.

AS Maxie says drtao we need the motherboard number mate now try running Speccy and open out the motherboard ref and send a screen shot of the readout.
Speccy - Download < from piriform the alternative is to physically look at the board with a strong light and find the model number.

Looking back on your first post you say when the USB's come on line well I could be mistaken but they should be on line the instant the board (machine ) boots.

Now the boot process is thus you power on > the PSU tests itself for correct volts > it then send a signal (via pin 8 - grey lead on the 24 pin plug) to the start up chip on the board all that takes place in microseconds so if the PSU is not functioning properly the board will not come on line. So if the USB's are not coming online straight away suggests t me there maybe something wrong with the power supply?
