The NVIDIA Geforce Galaxy 210 I installed in my new machine has a bad fan bearing or some other problem.
Someone else posted a similar problem yesterday also.

What would be a good replacement ?
Some where in the mid-price range. Don't do any games but, if it will give better overall performance then it might be the way to go.

Well you certainly don't need to worry about a psu which is good.

Depends how much you want to spend, some would say the 7790 amd and 650ti nvidia are midrange, others would say the 7850 amd and 660 are.

At any rate, all of the above cards would suit your purpose well.

Could you be a little more specific for what you are referring to, as I have no clue.

Around $150. budget.
Your right about the PSU, this is the main reason I did get it.

Ok for that price range you would be looking at either the Amd HD 7790 or the Nvidia Gtx 650ti.

Do you have a preference over Amd or Nvidia?

I would not know the difference in them.

I do not have a PCI express 3.0 just 2.0

Don't worry about that, it's backward compatible and you will not lose any performance.

Just have a look at a few cards on newegg, Evga is a very good brand for a 650ti.

What is your opinion between the two brands ?

Is there much of a difference ?

I have no preference at all, I switch between brands all the time.

It might be wise to look for some benchmark comparisons between the 2 models to see what performs better for the money. I am not on my pc at the moment so can't look and link to any.

Looked further into the Nvidia Gtx 650ti, NCIX has it for $110. after MIR;
Galaxy GeForce GTX 650 Ti GC 966MHZ 1GB 5.4GHZ GDDR5 2xDVI Mini-HDMI PCI-E Video Card

I would need a HDMI to mini HDMI adapter if I want to connect it to my home theater receiver;
Cables to Go Velocity HDMI Female to HDMI Mini Male Adapter

Is this a decent deal and is the adapter what I need to connect it to the HTR ?
I'm trying to play Pandora thru the receiver to the 7.1 speakers.

It gets good reviews, and yes the adapter looks good to me, you can also buy cables that will fit without an adapter though - nGear HDMI to MINI-HDMI Cable 6FT

Edit: of course it depends how long you need the cable to be. With the adapter you linked to you can use long regular HDMI cables.

Yes, exactly as I have a 25 ft. HDMI already and would only need the adapter.

OP, nice Rig, what do you do with it, I noticed no gaming, you certainly COULD!

Helps a little in video card advice...

Amount of video RAM and memory bandwidth considerations....

There is a difference class of video card, also, for non-gamers, but heavy graphics.

Check out this thing at the extreme end, muhaha: $3658.99

PNY Quadro 6000 VCQ6000-PB Workstation Video Card - Newegg.com

Hadn't looked at this class in a while, the $150 ones, I am wondering why anyone would, must be really specific apps/drivers requirements to get boosts over regular class cards.

If your needs are not heavy graphics and you hate fan noise, here's a less expensive card with no fan, but does have 2gigs of VRAM and no mini-port adaptor needed, something fun to toss in the mix:

Now I'm a bit confused.

No, I don't do any gaming and will not in the future.
No, I don't do anything with heavy graphics but, you never know what I may get into down the road so I would want the capability there if I need it.

The issue of fan noise should be near non-existent with the case I have, so it would not bother me if the card had a fan for cooling, actually I think it would be better if it did.

The second link you posted is for a fairly new item and I can't find any reviews on it at all. This has me leery to try something which has barely seen the light of day, so to speak.

The point of the HDMI is so I can run audio to my HTR and use the 7.1 system.

Anyone have any thoughts for a GPU, or is the one I posted previously the best all around choice ?

With the release of the Nvidia GTX 650Ti Boost, it makes the 650Ti less attractive than it used to be. It is still a great card, but for the same price just about, you can get the 650Ti Boost. And it does perform better according to hardware reviewers that I trust.....it's not a gimmick. Here are some you can look at: Nvidia GTX 650Ti Boost
