New SSD Install

I wasn't sure where to ask this question so took a gamble and tried here.
Some months ago I fitted an SSD into my desktop running windows 7 home premium,It's the C drive all my operating system and programs are on this drive.
All other documents etc are on another internal HDD.Been doing some reading about the SSD system and decided to run the test program AS SSD 1.7 and the results were as per image.
What I would like to know if the readings given by the program are okay or not.
When I did this install I must say that I did have a lot of help from WHS & Brink on this change over.
I did ask the same question on another forums,And really need a second opinion on the readings that was done with the AS SSD program.Are the results good/fair/poor??

I would say it's under performing in your case, what motherboard are you using and what SATA port is the SSD connect to?
You are missing 300Mb/sec of read speed.

Thanks for the reply.What would be the best way to find out what (what motherboard are you using and what SATA port is the SSD connect to).
As this desktop was a self build by a local pc engineer some time ago.I'm not very technical minded on computing yet,But getting there slowly.

Could you please have a look at "CPU-Z" or Speccy, under "motherboard" you will find the name of your MB, once you have the make and model of the MB you could go to manufacturers website of the MB and look for "specifications" of your MB. Checking which version SATA is supported by the MB, if it's older system it might only have SATA II which could mean your SSD will only run @ 300MB/s (not 500 that it is capable of).

Please note the speeds that you have are ok/good.

You only have 3Gbps sata ports, are the drivers for them fully updated ?

Open up Device Manger then expand the sata controller (click the triangle) then right click to bring up the properties page, then, update the drivers.

Hello again, can I ask if you experience any problems with you PC?

Maximum theoretical speed that you will have with your current MB is 300MB/s, having 200MB/s on AS SSD benchmark is very good for your current setup, I'm sure if you used HD Tune website tool you will see higher numbers.

If there is no problems with your PC then it might not worth your while to install new drivers (if it's not broke don't fix it).

If you PC is little slow try using CCleaner.

Likely the best you're going to get updated drivers or not. That motherboard/chipset hasn't seen a driver update in 6 years,

NVIDIA DRIVERS nForce Driver Version 15.49 WHQL

and never has had official Windows 7 support; the last driver only went up to Vista (which you can install on Windows 7). The chipset itself is close to 10 years old.

ps,Yes the pc is working okay,I just thought that it would be more faster than it is since installing the SSD.
I read in one magazine that a chappy had a W7 and it would fire up in 31seconds.Maybe that guy had all the top of the range guts.R/Royce?.Many thanks.

What do you mean "Came up nil" it should tell you Windows has determined your driver software is up to date.

Sorry what I should have said was,When I did check for updates by following the image given,Windows did say that there were no updates for those drivers.

Good morning to all concerned.
Just a final point on this issue,My start up time for this desktop was 70seconds from completely off to ready to use.The only thing the welcome screen did hang on for a while.

What I meant by fill in your specs properly was, put everything in the right category, you have everything jammed into other info

Look at mine or others for a better example on how they should be filled out

Although, it`s very descriptive
