New Startup Issues

System has suddenly started taking long time to boot.... Event Viewer list the following error messages:

In order of ocurreence:

BCM42RLY belongs to the Broadcom network drive.

I'd suggest Uninstalling the Network adapter via Device Manager. Reboot, let Win 7 rediscover it and reload the driver. If that does not fix it then download the latest driver and install.

Have done it 3 times since with both original drivers from MoBo CD and latest ones on Asus site ... also updated BIOS losing all my OC profiles siunce they insisted that somow the 11/20/13 driver somehow was based upon a BIOS that didn't come out till a week later.

The uninstall from Device manager has left the system with no wireless connection.... slow boot solved but now no wireless..... Device Manager says its working fine..... control panel Network connections say it's disabled.

Import the latest wireless driver from the Asus Support Downloads webpage for your model, using your ethernet connection or a flash stick.

If this fails try replacing the Zone Alarm crapware with recommended Microsoft Security Essentials to check the difference.

"Have done it 3 times since with both original drivers from MoBo CD and latest ones on Asus site" The last two installations were done in safe mode, .... it was Asus who insisted on using the MoBo DvD version which I thought was odd because theyu also insisted that I upgrade to latest BIOS which came out 10 days after the latest driver.
Quite happy with ZA for over 10 years now on over 100 puters whereas.....no infections, no issues. I do spent a good amount of time using it to remove stuff on others computer's that MSE missed. That discussion aside, neither is on the system at this time No need for protection on a system not connected to internet.

Id RMA the MoBo before I paid for a card that duplicated a function I already paid for .... I finally fixed it ..... can't tell ya what I did. For all I know it just liked being on my desk in the office as opposed to by build bench (aka dining room table).

So feeling my oats from the success, I immediately plugged in the LAN cable and of course would not function. Seems the LAN won;'t connect on the hard wire when wireless is enabled.....suddenly appreciates laptop more.

Well w/ that outta the way, maybe I'll try some benchmarking w/ new BIOS .... changing BIOS took my CPU temps from 74 to 81C and I wanna know what the devil is going on (right now at 4.6 GHz on 4770k) and the 780s are overclocked about 25% (20% on memory) with boost taking it to almost 40% .... GFX card temps still good at 45C ish.

Thanks all for the efforts .... wish I cud report what actually solved it.
