Hey.

My toshiba laptop was working fine yesterday. This morning when I turn it on I see start-up repair or start normally. I always make sure to use shut down so that screen shouldn't show but it did. I didn't install any new software/updates.

So now I try normal, "Starting Windows" then there is a quick bluescreen that restarts laptop without me being able to see what the bluescreen says.

Next option was to try start-up repair. It says windows is loading files. Then 'Microsoft corporation' but the bar doesn't load at all it just goes to a black screen. And when I let it sit for awhile, cursor appears and I can move it around but nothing else.

Now about the CD/USB fresh installing. When I went to BIOS,put default, save, restart, and change settings boot from USB or CD, tried both of those but for those it loads windows files then stuck on Starting Windows.

I tried my windows CD I bought and also USB/CD home made copies by downloading it and burning. Same Starting Windows error.

Please help :) I would like a clean install for I don't have anything of importance to need to back-up.

Have you tried the Toshiba Recovery disk?

   Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

If you're unable to run the bootable diagnostics, you can also confirm the HD condition using Seagate Seatools CD or Partition Wizard bootable CD surface test

Is the HDD detected in BIOS setup at all? If so what happens you run from the Win7 disk Startup Repair - Run up to 3 Separate Times?

If the HDD is irreparable, google your PC model for replacement Hard drive and a video for how to remove and replace it.

Then do a perfect Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7 which is a vastly superior install to Recovery disks.
