G'day guys,

I got a problem at this moment with my computer, I am using Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit, but everytime I tried to use Aero themes, my windows explorer (Desktop windows manager) disabled itself, and now all my HDD/DVD drivers wont refresh itself unless I restart my computer. I am currently using ATI Radeon 4890 and the drivers are updated.

Does anybody know is there a way to bypass or fix it? Much appreciated.

Eg of the problem: Once I removed an Data DVD and replace it with a movie DVD, the windows explorer still shows it as a DATA DVD, but you can access the contents and see it as a movie DVD.

Hi and welcome

There are so many things that can cause that. We need to do sosme digging

First can you type event viewer in search>go to the windows logs>application tab. You wan to look for errors (they have red in the left hand column) that relate to app hang, app crash, and any other general error that happens at the same time you are havingthe problem. Note the event ID and source code and let us know what they are

Thats step one

Thanks

Source: Schedule
Event ID: 0

The description for Event ID 0 from source Schedule cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.
The following information was included with the event:
Schedule error: 0
Initialize call failed, bailing out

Just a quick question, is there anyway to turn back Desktop Windows Manager on?

Thank you for trying to help me out here. Much appreciated.
