Yeah I was talking to the guy at Microcenter about it he said right now they just have gigabyte boards

I told him ASUS is supposed to have similar boards to the one's they have now so we have to wait and see im not sure if I will be able to do it anymore though just bought this on wed

Thank you both Paul and Steve ,I calculated how much it would cost just to take what I have now and just get a board and CPU it would run me about 580.00 give or take

I saw on the website they have the Sabertooth boards but the CPU can only be had if you go in store only the website option to buy ahead is blanked out

Right now she wouldn't even want to hear it this was a long time coming lol
the next step is to have one more little one and be done so she wants more focus on building lives then building machines i'm afraid but i'm sure after that I will be all gung ho again

Super Pi on my FX-8350 is 22.xx secs for 1M, albeit no OC'n, generally sittings at 4.1Ghz with Turbo Boost.

Seems pretty crummy to me, what do I need to consider?

I ran it with minimal amount of other things running.

So relax, just a bug in the Super Pi favoring Intel, is that what you are saying? :haha:

I rebooted and got same crummy time after adjusting some stuff in BIOS, Turbo Boost now giving me 4.2Ghz.

I do realize this is a single core test also, so not realistic.

Well, Intel handles ram much better than AMD. It has for a long time. I used to fight my ram timings and frequency with AMD. I've been on both sides of the fence. The test is single threaded, but it uses all the cores, just 1 at a time. It doesn't favor anyone. It just measures how long it takes to do a certain number of calculations.
