Problem with unshared/locked sub-folders

I converted a Windows XP system over to Windows 7 by doing a clean install. The system had several internal drives that I was using for shared storage. After installing Windows 7 and enabling Home Groups, I can access top-level and lower-level folders, however the files in the lower-level folders ALL have lock icons, and can't be seen from other Windows 7 boxen on the LAN.

I can manually highlight the files, select Share Homegroup (read/write) and that works just fine, but I have thousands of folders, so I can't do this manually.

Is there a way to recursively share all sub-folders and contents of a top-level folder?

Thanks!

OS
Windows 7
Right-click on the parent folder that contains all your shares.
Properties > Security > Advance.
Click the "Change Permissions..." button
Check "Replace all child object permissions..."
Click Ok...Ok...Ok

(You might need to alter the Owner)

Now re-share the parent folder if the above does cause the children to automatically work.
