Hii, I have a SSD C: drive, for some reason now im having issues and Id like to run system restore. The thing is that I have turned off the generic system restore setting from c: drive to D: drive as it’s a generic raptor HD and for some reason it’s not simply letting me do so. I have win 7 Home premium.
Just so I learn in the future, what is the best way to back up you pc over time when u have a limited space SSD and have to turn to a “D” drive.
Thanks,

well; I believe to best way to back up your pc is to use a backup device. As for the problem you are having; try checking for newer device drivers on the mfrs support site; download and install the new ones if available and see what happens.

Not sure I'm following you.

In your second sentence, you say you've turned off "generic" System Restore. I'm not sure what that means, but if you turned it off, I don't expect you'd get satisfactory results if you attempt to run it.

You ask "what is the best way to back up you pc over time when u have a limited space SSD and have to turn to a “D” drive".

You should use imaging. You make an image file of one or more partitions found on the SSD and store the image files on the D drive. If you get in a jam, you "restore" the image file by booting from a recovery disk. Macrium is the typically recommended tool--it's a free download.

When i was trying to load a .docx file this is what i got "Winword.exe system error
the program cant start beacuse oart.dll is missing
from your computer . Try reinstalling the program to fix
the problem"

You might try running the following command from a command prompt. It might help with the missing DLL problem:

sfc /scannow

If that fails, try a repair installation of Word.

I do have oart.dll on my system and don't know why it would be missing from yours.
