So I installed RealTemp 3.40 and was exploring the options for it and stumbled accross the System Tray options where it displays the temps for your GPU/Cores on the taskbar next to the Tray. So I put them on there but didn't realize they disappear when you close the program. I could run the program minimized for this but I'd rather not, just another window to cycle through since I use Aero so much.

Does anyone know of a way to get these temps to stay on the bar/sys tray without having to run the program minimized?

Thanks alot.

Edit: I use a three speed fan so I'd like to be able to see this stuff at a glance so I can turn my fan up/down if necessary. Or if anyone knows of a program that runs other programs in the background...

I believe that Speedfan runs as a TSR and has a good reputation overall. You can visit their site for details at the following link;

Awesome, thank you very much. I like the fact it can even report HD temps. That's a definite plus. I'll check out the features and whatnot in the morning. But thank you for replying.

Thank you.

Edit: I also ran accross HStart (Hidden Start) but I haven't explored this program either.

Reedit: I'll definitely rep you as soon as I review the programs and choose one that's best for me.

3.40 was reccomended to me, that's why I installed it. I'll try 3.70 though.

No luck, it doesn't have the option I'm looking for.

I use 3.00. When minimized, the system tray shows the temps the way I've set up. The pinned .exe on the taskbar does not show any minimized window. When I cycle through Win/tab and Alt/tab, RealTemp is not part of the lineup.

I tried to "upgrade" to 3.70, but for some reasons, the system tray setup was confounding and the temperature readouts were 10 degrees C higher, even after a reboot from a long rest. Reverted back to 3.00. I hope there are no security holes. And I hope the temps are more legit than the 3.70.
