Further to my recent post http://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-debugging/50473-ie8-firefox-causing-bsod.html after the BSoD happened today it struck me that it appears only to happen if I open more than one tab in FF or IE8, although I can't think why W7 Pro should object to that. Today's dmp file is attached but I do not know if it differs in the reason for the BSoD to the one attached and posted yesterday.
Please can any advise me on the cause and, if possible, a potential cure?
Thank you

Hi and welcome

this crash was caused by a driver power state change. Looks like the HdAudio.sys

I would update it asn run a system file check to verify and repair your system files
type cmd in search>right click and run as admin>sfc /scannow

Repeated BSoD when logged onto the Internet

Thanks ZigZag3143. When I checked the driver for the High Definition Audio Device I found that it is up-to-date. When I ran the sfc /scannow as you suggested it gave the result "Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations I wasn't certain how to run the 'system file check' so ran System Maintenance as Administrator; that revealed no problems.
Devise Manager shows both a High Definition Audio Device - I presume that this would be inbuilt with my two-year old computer (a Packard Bell iMedia MC 2770) - and the SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio PCI card that I installed subsequently. I decided to disable the High Definition Audio Device - not sure if that was the wise or correct thing to do! Perhaps I'll find out with the next BSoD!
