you have no system restore points?

in that case, you could try an in-place repair install.

take heed of the warnings though!

Time for a repair install from the DVD.

Be sure to back up first, just in case

Might work but it is only from 2 days ago when did the problem start?

Plus if may fix some of the problems but leave others. Uncertain outcome

It may also be helpful to use this method in the tutorial at the link below to run an sfc /scan as it runs from the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE) and since Windows isn't running at the time of the scan it may do better, though it sometime takes running the scan several times, no matter what method you use to complete successfully.
