Hello 7forums,
I recently purchased a new computer, and everything is running perfect except the download speed is very slow.
My old computer would average 1Mb d/l speed where as my new one hovers around 50-90kb. My brother is using my old computer on the same network and i got him to d/l the latest wow patch (so we were downloading from the same source) and it still averaged at 1Mb.:sarc:
However when playing WoW i average anywhere between 30-60ms and my browing speed is perfect.
So to summarize:

  • My old computer's d/l speed is 1Mb, where as my new on is around 90kb,
  • After downloading from the same source the result was still the same,
  • Browsing speed and in-game pings are fine.

What connection type? If cable, I would try changing cables, and possibly even changing ports on the router. Double check the settings of the network controller under device manager properties too.
