SSD health check tools?

I have had some problems with my PC freezing up and as part of the troubleshooting want to rule out the SSDs (no HDD in this PC). The two drives are Samsung Evo 850s, 500GBs. I installed and ran the Samsung Magician software, which produced the following results (speed test rather than health report, per se, I suppose):

Disc 1 Seq. Read = 5,241 MB/s, Seq Write = 616 MB/s, Random Read (IOPS) = 278,118, Random Write = 10,032
Disc 2 Seq. Read = 5,397 MB/s, Seq Write = 427 MB/s, Random Read (IOPS) = 279,377, Random Write = 10,021

I am not sure what these figures represent - they seem way higher than any I have found by Googling. Assuming that the read/write speeds are OK (?), does that in itself indicate that the disc health is also good. I assume not...

How do I check whether the freezing up of the PC is not due to an SSD issue? Are there any (freeware) tools that would do this and not just benchmark Read/Write speeds?

To be honest, I don't have an 'in depth' understanding of this - I know that SSDs don't have 'sectors' as such, so Windows reporting that an SSD has 'bad sectors' is a bit of a red herring (if I have understood correctly!)... In other words, what in practice does an SSD Health Check tool actually check - or is such a thing not really of any value?

Hello Martin mate take a look at this My Solid State Drive may be defective, how can I test it? and just for the record I have run the test/s on some of my SSD's in the past with no harm being done as some will tell you not to run tests on SSD's.

Run System File Check sfc /scannow
Schedule a disk check chkdsk C: /f and chkdsk D: /f

Thanks for the link. Not sure if any 'harm done' would be evident - I guess people worry about all the read/writes on the SDD?

Will download Crystal Disk, thanks. (I'd already done the SFC - no errors reported).

Crystal Disk shows both my SSDs as 100% healthy (they're about a year old). Is that reliable? There's no testing goes on, just the window. Both discs show exactly the same numerical values in the lower table..

You can't always rely on health check programs to be accurate. I recently had a new SSD give me all kinds of grief, including dropping out after running for a while. When I replaced it with another new SSD, the problems went away. The problem SSD checked out as being healthy by three different programs, including the manufacturer's. I returned it to the vendor for a replacement.

In fact Crystal disk info doesn't test the disk. It shows the disk S.M.A.R.T.

Now I think the Seagate I linked earlier might be worth a try mate to see if there is any difference but that is your choice of course.
