Ok, thanks for the info. To further my knowledge on SSD's I've noticed that since the fresh install, and now a couple weeks later, my benchmarks on that drive have dropped or I should say some dropped, some went up. Is this normal? I know we don't defrag SSD's but is there other maintenance that can be done? I have followed the SSD Win7 Tweaks guide on this forum. How would you interpret the attached comparison?

Benchmarks fluctuate all of the time. Heck, run the test 2 times in a row and you will get different results. Most has to do with anything else which might be occurring on the machine at the time that the benchmark was run.

Thanks for the response. Make's sense. So is there really any other kind of maintenance to be done to an SSD drive after time?

I have two SSD's in my laptop and have not done any maintenance on them outside of blowing out
the vents in my laptop. I have a friend who writes disk optimizer programs and he and others say that defrag'n a SSD is not recommended as it just uses up the life cycle of read/writes..
