hey everyone my system is running great, i have been doing periodic backups and stuff, so i have a few backups (which is taking some space up) and an original disk image which is about 2 months old, i would like to delete everything i have as of today, 1/19/10, and make a (brand new image and back up) Clean image and backup as if i was doing it for the first time, i thought i saw how to do that here on the forum, but i cant seem to find the link to it.

Thanks in advance.

the following batch file (copy & paste into notepad, save as "resetbackup.cmd" and then right click it, choose Run As Administrator) should do what you are asking. This will completely reset Windows backup back to "factory state" with no previous records of any backups etc.

Code:
del /f /q "c:\windows\logs\CompletePC\*.*"
del /f /q "c:\windows\logs\WindowsBackup\*.*"
wbadmin delete catalog -quiet
cd "c:\system volume information"
rd "WindowsImageBackup" /s /q
rd "Windows Backup" /s /q
reg delete "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup" /va /f
reg add "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsBackup" /ve
