Once you change the motherboard it always best to do a Clean Install of Windows 7.

Here is a tutorial by Brink that will help. Be sure you only have the drive you want Windows 7 on hooked up.

Make sure you have the COA activation key handy.
With a new motherboard you will need either a Retail key or a new OEM Builders key.

Wait, so everytime somone changes to a new motherboard you would have to do a clean install everytime?

Ah, I didn't know you could access disk management from the OS installation disk.

As far as I know the way to create a system reserve is to start over and let Windows 7 create it during the clean install.

I still recommend backing up your data to a external device and do a Clean Install.
I'm not understanding why you wouldn't want a clean install after putting all that new hardware in your system.

Hang in there others may have other methods.

If you can access the drive through a command prompt, I'd think you could copy your data files to a backup drive, assuming you know where they are---in what directory tree.

I'm not highly familiar with your situation--are you able to get to a command prompt and navigate to various directories on the drive?

Do you have a Windows install disc and valid Product Key?

The tutorial was about how to get into diskpart, which I already know how to do, but that's not what I'm trying to do right now, which was why I asked what I should do from there; assuming there was a step two to solving the issue at hand; assuming that merely accessing diskpart was a step one to the solution.

Yes. I can see that all my drives are there are well, the problem that keeps happening as I attempt to boot into the OS is that (apparently) it is a hardware-related issue?
I had bought a new motherboard, CPU & RAM I assume the issue is within those new components?
I've checked the hardware for any looseness to anything but everything is nice and secure.
However I'm not entirely too sure how to backup files from cmd?

Not sure why you would want to back up files since your other thread says you are currently re-installing Windows. If that's true, it's a bit late to back up.

Confusion reigns as to where you are, what you want, you're buying and installing new hardware, etc etc.

Maybe a few deep breaths and write one cogent post that accurately describes your CURRENT situation, with a minimum of confusion? Presumably after your ongoing re-installation and monitor swapping is done?

Hm, I didn't know that you would have to re-install windows again if you changed motherboards.
This is a first for me, seeing as I had stuck with one motherboard this entire PC's life so I didn't know.
I figured that nothing needed to be done other than to re-connect all your components to the new motherboard.
That's my bad, and yes I'm reinstalling windows now; seeing as I was unable to fix whatever was preventing me from booting properly.
NOW my issue is the monitor. I was in the middle of installing windows... and the story is in the other thread.

stuckstuck, it is quite simple. Every Motherboard has drivers specifically for it. When you change Motherboards, you are trying to run one motherboard with the drivers from a different motherboard, which usually will cause a lot of problems. It seems you have found that out. You have to start out clean and use only the drivers from the motherboard you are currently using.

We help users all the time to Adjust Win7 to boot on new hardware with Paragon Adaptive Restore CD which is much easier and works perfectly.

Be aware that drive letters often read differently in WinRE than when booted.

Sometimes the drive letter will slip from C causing Unbootable Win7, often labeled wrongly as Non-Genuine. There is a known fix for this.

When you were asked for a Disk Mgmt screenshot, had you booted Partition Wizard and posted back a camera snap we could have immediately seen any problem to correct it. Cheers to Urthboundmisfit for trying to steer you via tutorials to do this. There was no serious effort to comply.

Finally, if you're going to do a Clean Reinstall Windows 7 then take this opportunity to get a perfect one following these steps that have been used by 1.3 million users without a single complaint or return with problems. You will have the best install of Win7 one can possibly have.

Of course you should, you are putting windows on brand new hardware. it`s the best way to do it and totally normal.

To fix your current problem, delete your system reserved partition and your install partition down to un allocated space, then either create an install partition and install windows or just click next.

I always use a Partition Wizard Boot CD to wipe, create, format, set active and align a partition to install windows on a hard drive/ssd. You don`t end up with a SR partition, which is really not needed. IMO

Windows takes 15 minutes to install and will fix all your problems.
