Trouble moving backup files from external drive to computer

I did restore to a new location as you suggested. While I could find the files, the folders in them were empty. I don't know if they didn't get included in the backup. Looked in the 2 backups that were made prior to the system restore. Am I not looking inthe right places or did I not backup properly to begin with?

In Backup and Restore you can browse for files and see if you can find any then simply try to extract one as a test and don't choose to the original location.
