Unable to see Vista files when using 7

hi, i have just installed windows 7 on my laptop as a dual boot with vista, i cant see any of my files that are on the vista partition when using 7. does anyone know how to fix this or do i just have to copy everything using an external HD?

Administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Disk Management, find the Vista Drive, Give it a letter.

thanks i think i got it working now.. there was a bit of hassle with the permissions but got it to work eventually on both. i think in my experimenting with windows 7 i will be using these forums alot

my disks are dynamic and when I change between OS drives, I have to import them again. Not sure if your situation is similiar.

nah mine somehow sorted itself out. i went into vista and changed the permissions somehow. now when i go to vista the files are all in that drive (C:) which is 220Gb and in this case 7 is 17Gb, and then i restart and go into windows 7 and they are all in that drive (D:) and the sizes have swapped. dont ask me how i did it but im not complaining lol
