Your logs still show it complaining about termsrv.dll. Did you replace it?

Yes, I did change it. I will do so again, and repost the logs.
One thing I did notice was after I changed it, rebooted, and did the checks. My Firefox slowed to a crawl and froze quite a bit. I don't know if that's related, but I wanted to document everything.

having switched the file again, and restarted, I'm once again noticing a significant slowdown during use of not just Firefox but of other things.
A friend of mine had this same problem, and he said it was a corrupted Windows Media file and the only solution was to reinstall Windows. I was trying to avoid that. The only reason I bring it up was because in order to replace this file the second time around, I had to go in and stop the Remote Desktop Services which was using the termsrv.dll file and it told me in stopping it that it would also stop, among other things, the Media Center Extender Service.

Do you use either the Remote Desktop Service or the Media Center Extender?

I know I always run with the Remote Desktop Service set to Manual and I never turn it on. If your system is bogging down after swapping out that file, if you temporarily disable the service does it speed back up?

It's also looking like the easiest way to go to solve your issue would be an in place upgrade.

I do use the Media Center Extender to stream things to my Xbox 360, that's what started all of this. I wanted to put my movies and tv shows in separate folders in WMC but it doesn't support that, so I tried to install a recommended 3rd party program, it said it required SP1... and here we are.

How would I go about upgrading, since afaik I'm running the top level of Win7?
