I bought the following items:

GB-990FXA-D3 Motherboard
AMD 1090t CPU
G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600 2 x 4GB
WIN 7 64 OEM
Patriot Inferno 60BG SSD

I have kept my existing case, PSU, keyboard & Mouse, monitors and Video card and upgraded from Windows XP 32.

Video card is Asus EN9400GT SILENT/HTP/512M

I get random BSOD errors and have tried troubleshooting but with no luck.
KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
APC_INDEX_MISMATCH
IRQL_NOT_LESS_EQUAL

I have tried to make sure I have the latest drivers but the problem still happens. I ran MEMTEST86 and it made 7 passes with no problems.

I have tried putting the ram into slots 2 and 4 as well as 1 and 3 and it makes no difference.

I tried using Windows Driver Verifier but after following this guide - http://www.sevenforums.com/crash-lo...-driver-verifier-identify-issues-drivers.html - the computer will not restart. I get a BSOD with error SPECIAL_POOL_DETECTED_MEMORY_CORUPTION.

CPU-ID shows the memory as DDR3 8192 MB however it is runnany at 803.6 MHz with timings 11-11-11-28 but the ram is 1600 MHz at 9-9-9-24.

I have included the dump files below and hopefully there is something in there. There wer more minidump files but after doing a system restore they disappear.

I just udated the firmware on the MOBO and formatted the SSD. I reloaded Windows and while I was typing the product key I got a BSOD for - KMODE EXCETION NOT HANDLED (see attachment for minidump).

I then realised I had a USB hub connected to the computer with a printer, computerised cutter, external Hard drives and a few other things. I removed the hub (only the bare minimum connected to the computer) and format the drive and reloaded windows again. This time during the copying of files an error appeared saying some files are not available (Did not stay on the screen for long so I am not sure exactly what it said) and then a BSOD for - SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION

:cry::cry::cry::cry:

Thanks for the reply

G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1600 2 x 4GB

Only 2 sticks. They are both installed. I tried them originally in channel 0 (slots 1 and 2) and then channel 1 (slots 3 and 4). Does not seem to make a difference.

Also - MEMTEST86 passed 7 times.

Tried some things and I'm convinced it's a memory problem. I'm going to play the settings in the bios. Will advise of results.

Found some info on the G.Skill forums on ram settings. Fingers crossed.

Been nearly 3 hours now and so far so good. I've installed Win 7 from scratch and loaded all drivers and some software and installed all updates.
