and my win isnt activated
what should i do with this ?
(ps: i dont wanna reinstall win)

You can restrict the amount it uses and still have at least recent restore points.

You haven't turned off the Volume Shadow Copy Service have you?

run services.msc and see if the "Volume Shadow Copy" service is disable or not. It should be set to Manual.

i need more space in system C

This is fine until you get a real problem and need System Restore. Can you not create more space on the drive by other means? I see you have a 500Mb HD. Are you storing data files on it?

100gb for windows and 400gb for data

I would not disable System restore, unless you have a good reason to do so. (Such as another back up plan inplace such as frequent Imaging to another HD)

Saving Space is not a good reason, because if something happens and a restore is required, that extra HD space is not going to help in the least.



I have disabled System Restore myself.
BUT, I have Acronis making frequent full disc backups on a regular basis, to another HD.
If something happens, I always have a rescue plan.


So unless you have a reliable solution in place, leave it on.
