Will CPU upgrade use license?

Hi all,

I am thinking of a CPU upgrade to my system, without changing anything else. Will the CPU upgrade use an extra license key or is it the case only with motherboard changes?

Hi,
No upgrading a cpu will not effect the activation key used for windows,
You will need to reset your bios clock though and use optimize defaults in there too.
