Win 7: Black screen on boot up, before login screen (Clean Install)?

In short yes you can and now you can resize both ways ie make the partition larger (or smaller) to the right or left to make the partition larger. Once upon a time you could only resize to the left.

In my pic there is only one partition but just imagine there were two they can be resized into each other if you get my drift.

Thanks for looking into my issue/thread. Noel helped me to fix the win update issue.

As per suggestion, I resized the partition using partition Wizard. Screen shot is attached. The Lenovo_user (D) partition is showing as Logical partition and status as NONE. Is it the right to have as logical one & NONE status?

What are the other thinks, I should keep eye on it?

Let me know some strategy to avoid catastrophic failures.

Now, get Macrium free and devise a image backup schedule - http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/73828-imaging-free-macrium.html
Something like:
- Image System_Drv and C - full backup once every week/2 weeks/month (depending on how much your system change and space you can allocate to backups). Save the image to D.
- Differential backups daily
- Keep the very first Full Image always
- Keep the last 2 weeks images (at least)
- Copy the image files to an external drive too, so if your HDD dies you can restore from the external

Yes mate do exactly what Gokay has said it is what I do and mine is done every week and if everything is running fine and the back ups get a little full I just delete the older ones unless there is a specific reason not to.

On the machines I have more than one drive in I do the image to an internal and an external - failsafe
