Windows 7 Aero Trouble...

Sometimes when I am just working on the computer, the Aero theme flashes and some parts of the visual style change to Windows Classic style. Notably all buttons, scroll bars, and the entire task manager.

When I use the troubleshooting, it says the themes service wasn't running, and turns it back on, then everything looks normal again for a while, but it happens all the time, randomly. Sometimes my whole taskbar turns to Classic theme, but there is still some Aero sticking out of the top of the Classic taskbar.

It doesn't make any sense to me, because the themes service and the Desktop Window Manager Session Manager are both set to automatic, if the service is actually stopping by itself, how come some Aero style sticks around? Also, what would make the themes service stop randomly?

My thoughts were either a virus or corrupt system files but I have used a system file checker and it replaced any corrupt system files if there were any, and I've scanned for viruses with 6 different programs and they all said I was clean. I have tried everything I could think of and it's extremely annoying to have this problem and not even be able to figure out why it is happening.

Any help will be appreciated.

Well If this happened to me I would just reinstall Windows, yes it may seem like a rather excessive solution. But in my opinion reinstalling the OS always takes care of 99.9% of problems many users face.

My other suggestion would be to try and update your graphic card driver to the latest version If you haven't done so already.

Thanks

I uninstalled and reinstalled my graphics driver and it didn't do anything. I thought about reinstalling, but didn't want to because I have all the files from my music production on my hard drive and no way to back it up, and no money to get a terabyte external drive.

I'll keep messing with it for now.

I solved the problem!

I had to go into services.msc and go into the properties of the themes service and the desktop windows manager service and under the recovery tab change all of the failure actions to restart service. By default it only restarts twice, then the third time it stops. Now if the service fails it will restart on its own no matter what.
