Windows 7 RC Wont Install Properly...PLEASE HELP!!!

Haha, well 6-7am has been my bed time for a long time now, need to change that asap. I'm in the bios, same screen the other guy put up. I tried safe mode but u can't use it since Windows isn't done installing!!!

No I don't, just my phone, why's that a problem. Which option shod I choose from the BIOS? How do I do a clean install?

Then you are not in the BIOS. =\

Is your computer a custom build, or did you buy it from a store (basically, did you build it or is it like Dell, HP, Compaq, Gateway, etc.)

If you have an Asus motherboard you should be able to get into the bios by
Pressing the DEL key as it is booting up .

Ok so I just got a new computer, put in the 64-bit RC, it told me what to do, I followed it all and then it said something like "that's all the info we need for now, will start installation and computer will restart serveral times". So it did what it did and then after a couple restarts it stayed off and my monitors power button then just kept flashing and so did my computer, it stayed off for about 20 minutes. Then I pushed the power button and turned it back on and then it loaded up and went to a black screen where it said in the bottom right corner "Windows 7 Evaluation copy. Build 7100" and it stayed on the screen for about 2 minutes and the computer then shut down on its own. Then I reboored it again and it went back to the same screen accept its been on there ever since, about 30 minutes now. What is going on? Even when I take the disk out it shows the same screen when booted up. Somebody please help, thanks!!!

Well a clean install would solve this likely. Repair may not, thus making this a longer trip.

Everyone has their own opinions and ways of doing things I suppose.

You would need to be able to boot into the DVD to perform another installation to do a clean install.

Basically, when you get to the options of "Custom or Upgrade" You choose Custom, then click on the partitions and delete them, then click continue (it will create its own as needed).

We need to be able to boot from the Windows 7 Install DVD.

bro...you need to listen if you want help. you need to try the repair option in the boot options first. put the disc in, restart and press f8 til it comes up. then choose repair.

Hi I told him to do this earlier on, but I think he is only getting into the F8 screen now.

ok...you will need to reinstall. boot up from your cd and you will come to an option to repair

If like me, you may be having problems with Express Gate, you should disable that in the BIOS and then try the repair option. But that doesn't always work. It may be best to try another go at installing afresh.

Ok, I turn on the computer with the disk in, it turns on and shows the motherboard page quickly, then shows the windows colour logo floating thiny and then goes to that black page and says "Windows 7 Evaluation copy. Build 7100" in the bottom right corner and stays there forever. I swear stuff like this only happens to me lol. I didn't burn the disc myself either, my uncle did and he works with compurers and he's burned it for himself aswell already and it went smooth!!!

This is what happens when he loads the dvd into the machine, and that is why we are trying to get him into the bios page.

i told you what to do. you need to boot up from your cd. go through the process and you will get an option to repair. you should try that first before you reinstall
