Windows 7 using up 15gb of hard drive ?

Just installed my purchased windows 7 pro 64 bit, clean install, and it's using up 15gb of hard drive space already, before i even install anything ?

Is this normal, thanks

Are you looking in the drive properties? If so then yes it is normal. After installation, Windows creates a Restore Point, almost an exact duplicate of everything.

And there is the page file, the hibernation file, temp files, etc. A normal win 7 32 bit install where all of the above are on different drives runs about 8-10 gigs

ok thanks, but i have already turned off system restore though after the install. i just use acronis if i need to restore.

i was already running win 7 ultimate before and dont remember it being that large.
