Would Bioshock work on my pc?

I can buy Bioshock for cheap but am not sure if it would work on my system. I know it needs a 2.4ghz cpu and i can get mine to 2.1ghz but the i am not sure about the graphics card. It says it needs a 3.0 pixel shader and mine is 2.0 but i have seen a patch that should supposably make the game only need 2.0?

Even with more ram the slow cpu, and limited video card would make it lag and almost unusual.

I glanced at your specs and while it would play it would be a very disappointing experience...

I would think that a 7800GT and higher would be ample to play while a Core2DUO processor wouldn't hurt

you can always try the demo out first. it's better than getting high hopes. trust me, i've wasted quite a few dollars on games my pc cant handle. admittedly, bioshock is NOT on that list, and im actively playing through it again. it is one of my all time favorites

Well my pc could run Dark Messiah of might and magic and Hellgate London fine when i still only had 512mb ram. Thanks for the demo. I'll try it first before I buy the game.

look for mods that change the lighting engin and other performance increasing mods. while i've got a nice new gaming system at home i am mostly confined to using my laptop which is lacking in the gaming area. i've been able to run some games by using mods that tweak the game so it uses fewer resources.

I think it will work! if u use shader patch probably will work but you would not be able to play on higher resolutions...

Nope doesnt work. I installed the game and patched the shader file. When i run the game i can see the intro to the game with the nvidia logo and 2k games logos but then it just stucks on a black screen.
