Hold for a moment. It may have been installed by another program you installed. Open Programs and Features from the Control Panel. Click on the Installed On column header to sort them. Find Akamai and check any software installed on the same date. See if it was installed on the same date as iTunes.
I did that and I saw Akami Netsession interface installed on 1/11/14 (I don't even remember clicking on it). I can't tell if it came from iTunes because I tried updating iTunes once and the update failed so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. But I'm 90% sure both Pando and Akami came from MapleStory, which I downloaded late 2013 but deleted it not long after. I remember seeing Pando and Akami and not being sure where they came from. I remember not wanting to delete it way back then because I thought it was something that came with the laptop.

If it's gone, it's gone. Check for leftover folders and remove those if necessary.
