BSOD while playing DOMO and even simple browser games (Error 124)

Hold for a moment. It may have been installed by another program you installed. Open Programs and Features from the Control Panel. Click on the Installed On column header to sort them. Find Akamai and check any software installed on the same date. See if it was installed on the same date as iTunes.

I did that and I saw Akami Netsession interface installed on 1/11/14 (I don't even remember clicking on it). I can't tell if it came from iTunes because I tried updating iTunes once and the update failed so I uninstalled it and reinstalled it. But I'm 90% sure both Pando and Akami came from MapleStory, which I downloaded late 2013 but deleted it not long after. I remember seeing Pando and Akami and not being sure where they came from. I remember not wanting to delete it way back then because I thought it was something that came with the laptop.

You might as well uninstall it then. I did find reference to it looking for MapleStory. I can't imagine any good use for it. It's seriously obtrusive software.

Be sure to run the SFC scan and the EEK scan.

Ok. Can I just delete it with Revo or should I do the steps you told me to do with the start up applications? I will run the two scans right after.

How do I check for remnants after with Revo? I don't see it anymore.

Sorry, I thought Revo checked the Registry like CCleaner. (I don't use Revo.) If it's gone, it's gone. Check for leftover folders and remove those if necessary.

I'm not sure where to look. I tried searching it up. Nothing. It could be lingering still right? I don't have CC Cleaner because I heard they may ruin your registry and since idk what it's getting rid of or fixing, I removed it just in case I might make the problem worse...

Yes, CCleaner can be dangerous if misused or misunderstood. But you don't have to make any changes if you just click the Scan for Issues button. It doesn't change anything unless you click the Fix Selected Issues button. Since nothing is showing up on a search, I wouldn't worry about a couple of Reg Entries, if there are any.

Ok. I will use the two scans you referred me to and then see how my laptop holds up for a couple of weeks. I hope the issue is fixed

Edit: for SFC, do I skip the first few steps? I don't have a CD to install windows 7 again

I did the SFC scan and it said it found some corrupt files and fixed them. I'm running the Emisoft Emergency Kit now.

I forgot to add that when I turned on my computer, my wifi wasn't working. It had a red X on it so I restored it to the day after I removed Akami and then did the Sfc scan. While playing last night, it seemed fine but had like tiny freezes for half a second a few times throughout the two hours I was playing. I'm hoping that was just the game.

May I remove Emisoft/BlitzBlank now? I've scanned but it only found some registry items which i quarantined because it warned me that I needed to know what they were.

Or just save the log file and upload it. Either way as long as "screenshot" means from the snipping tool and not full screen. Those are hard to read by the time SF shrinks the image.

Layback Bear, I would do a clean install. I really wanted to but I don't have a CD and would lose my Microsoft Office 2013 which I don't have a CD for either.

I just took it from the program. It has a folder on my desktop with items I quarantined. How do I save it as text?

The "Export" button on the bottom left used to export the selected report as a text file but I see it just exports the entire index so that's gummed up. Sorry. You'll have to get the report manually.

See if you have this folder: C:\EEK\Run\Reports

It's a text file. Double click on the last run (or the run that created the quarantine items) and it should open in NotePad. Copy and paste the text into your message or upload the file.
