If you know what you're doing you can just shrink your partition and go for it.
But to be on the safe side of things I suggest you make the image copy Mentioned above. :devil:

So if I understand, the Image copy will copy all my songs, programs and everything else that is on my hard drive as well as Win 7 ?

I have another problem. When I open my computer, I press on ESC to go in the boot options, I choose to boot OS X with the CD/DVD drive, but it keeps booting Windows instead. what am I doing wrong?

And I don't know which Hackintosh to install and how to do it? I only have experience of installing Windows 7 from disc (no laughing please). I will be very thankful to you all! Thank you! Very very very want to do this.

AMD Turion x2 2.00 Ghz
Nvidia GeForce 7120M
3GB DDR2 RAM
200 GB

Yes It will make a copy of your entire drive.

In my experience it's a matter of try, fail, try again, fail and try again...
Search the net, read about what the different iso's contain and just try. :devil:

I have AMD 3000+ 1,8Ghz Processor
nVidia 7600GS
AsRock Mainboard
etc. etc.

The only version I found that will boot on my hardware was the Kalyway OSX 10.5.2
And I've tried 10.5.5, 10.5.6, 10.5.8, 10.6 etc. etc. From many different providers.

If you do find one that boots on your system, stick with it.

You should try a later version of Kalyway, that one is quite old.

Well it will be hard, cuz I dont have access to any of the OS except if i put the Dvd for mac but windows wont start . It is written b0 error. How do i fix that ? I dont want my pc to be unusable !!

Hmm what distros have you tried? You could try Leo4All, SnowLeo4All, iAktos, SnowOSX..

I am using kalyway 10.5.1 but the tech at our school told me to try partitionmagic, wich I will try this evening. If anyone have extra help it would be very appreciated thanks

I dual boot using EasyBCD for my computer (custom built PC and I checked whether my PC is compatible with installation, it is) anyway I got (windows 7, vista and snow leopard osx for pc) the installation for installing mac on my partition went file, it told me to restart my computer so it could finish the installation, ok when I went to the screen to pick Mac Osx to boot, I get a Grub error screen. What is this? I couldnt get passed this error??

How do I solve this?

Yes, sorry.

First, when I saw the b0 error I thought I could fix it with the OS X terminal, but after a couple of tries, it didn't work. So the only thing that I could use now was my windows seven recovery DVD. The first option at the top (can't tell the name, I selected French language) was the only thing I didn't try, but it is with this one that I solved my ploblem. Ahh i think it was called repair startup

I have dual boot W7 and OSX 10.5.6.

All you need to do is first , install W7. Then, create a new partition for your osx within W7 , format it as fat32 or ntfs and set to to be "active".

Then run the osx installation and before you start the install, go to Utilities and "disk utility" , select the partition you created from W7 and format it as Journaled (don't delete it!).

Then, install as you would normally, selecting this partition as your installation target. (don't forget to customize your OSX installation with the necessary drivers for you system.)

After installation is complete, you will need to repair your W7 boot loader, cause you probably won't be able to boot W7.
Insert the W7 installation DVD, at the first installation screen select your language etc, and at the second screen select "repair computer".
This will bring the W7 boot loader back, so you can boot W7.

Now you won't be able to load osx!
So boot in Windows 7, and unhide your hidden 200MB partition:

1. In disk management, assign a drive letter for your 200MB hidden partition.

2.Download EasyBCD and add a new boot entry, select MacOS, Generic X86, Add, Save. That's it.

You can now have dual boot with W7 and OSX

I need some help, and just want to verify what you are using. Are you useing a mac instilation disk that you bought correct? Or did you use something else. Also, where dud that hidden 200 MB partition come from? Are we supposed to make one when we make the other partitions?

Hello all,

So i read through this forum but I am having a different problem, any help would be amazing.

So I have two hard drives on my computer partitioned as follows.

Disk 0
Partition 1: Windows 7
Partition 2: Recovery

Disk 1
Partition 1: Data
Partition 2: OS X

So I successfully installed OSX on the second hd, second partition. I installed easybcd and when I restart and go to boot OS X I get a:

"Chain Boot Error"

I think I am right on the cusp of getting it to work but I need some help with the last step. Thanks in advance.
