Have you tried running Furmark http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/100356-video-card-stress-test-furmark.html ?

Also try running Ungine Heaven Download Unigine 'Heaven' DX11 Benchmark 4.0 | techPowerUp On the set up, run the extreme pre configured settings. They will look like this. As soon as you setit, press run, then when it starts press benchmark in the top left. But watch your temps on both tests.

I dont know if it will run bacause i only have onboard graphics

You are right, in the dropdown list where I have extreme, try basic instead, or don't run it at all.

Ok so here is a pic of the tag on my current ram its crucial ballistix ram can you tell me if it is supposed to be compatible with my mb

I don't see it on Crucial's list Computer upgrades for ASUS ASUS Motherboards M5A78L/USB3 from Crucial But, if you let Crucial scan your computer, you may get better results than I got.

Also, the Asus QVL list is only the ram they have tested, which does not mean that any ram not listed is not compatible. That sort of leaves you in limbo. But, that is the same way it always is with any board. Personally, I would think with 9-9-9-24 timings and 1.5V, it should be compatible. What I think has little to do with what Asus will say though.

If i use that scanner on my pc will it also tell me if the ram is found to be compatible or not

No, it won't tell you. But, if it is not compatible, you should get errors running memtest86, I would think. That's what incompatible ram does and what makes it incompatible.

Compatible or not, Tech support always says the ram is not on the QVL list. That's always their excuse regardless if it is compatible or not. Again, Their QVL list is only the models of ram they have tested. Most of the time, it is old ram and what's on their list, you couldn't find if you tried. It's just their excuse.

So if i get no errors with mem test then should that mean that ram is not my problem for my bsods. I mean if thats the case then what is the next best possible cause for them any ideals

Anthony, truthfully, until we know something, everything is suspect. It could be anything from a bad CPU to a messed up file system, or anything in between. That's why we run the tests and read the dumps.

Any chance if someone would know could faulty usb ports cause random bsod because alot of times when i plug in usb devices i have either random bsod or the device does not work properly for example when i use usb wifi adapters it will randomly lose connection to internet then it will say no connections available i have to reboot pc a few times and unplug it and plug them back in to get it to notice any available networks again this happens with two different types of wifi adapters. Just the other day i booted up pc and pluged my ipod in which resulted in a bsod refering to ntoskrnl.exe again

Anthony, I would try and see if the Manufacturer of the WiFi has any updated drivers. But, honestly it sounds more like a possible short in the front panel connectors. If you would, please try to use the rear ports for a while and see if the problem persists. If it does, I would try to update my Chipset driver and any USB drivers from the motherboard's web site. The chipset driver usually has most of the USB drivers in it.

What case do you have? If neither of those works, I would tear the case down to where I coiuld get a good look at the front panel connections and see if there was a short in them. Sometimes a bad solder point touching the case can do that.

It does it on back usb as well which is the onboard usb i will look for updated chipset thou not sure if mine is completely updated i thought i had all drivers updated but will check thanks for reply

Ok so bought another motherboard and pulled processor and ram out of other motherboard i have seen only 2 bsods while installing updates once and once while installing mb driver and software cd since then i change out the ram with some other previously thought to be bad ram and have not seen a bsod yet crossing fingers but will test for while more and update on issue. The other question i have is if by chance the motherboard does not set the ram at the correct cas latency or mhz or etc... By default could that cause the random bsods as well

Most likely not. The motherboard reads the imbedded code on the ram to set the default settings, which is usually 9-9-9-24 1333MHz. If it were to set it wrong, yes it could.
