Latest Internet Explorer 9 Release

I'm not 100% on that until the RC is actually released, but usually you will have to.

I'll let you know Shawn ;)

Edit: Do you mean RC?

Can anyone naswer this one or - has anyone else experienced this.

I had been using the IE9 Beta for some time, and was pleased with it.
A couple of days ago, I needed to reconfigure an option in my Linksys router. Thats when I found the bug(? maybe?)
First, selecting the IP (standard for linksys and many others) http://192.168.1.1/ led to a blank page. reselecting got me, as normal, to the login page.
Logged in, as I have done countless times in the past. I then had to wait about 1 minute, before the page would open. I went through my IE9 options singly, but nothing could improve this opening time.
I treied my alternative browser (Forefox) absolutely no problem.
So, back to IE8 and, Bingo, no problem again.
Anyone any idea at all what is going on here?

Later. Thoughts and experiments. I wonder if this is an FTP issue with IE9?

Never experienced something like this with my Huawei router, even with IE9.

No problems logging into my D-Link router with IE 9 Beta here. Each different brand of router has their own little quirks though. Whats the router use for the GUI, Java? Maybe its a Java problem or an IE plug-in thats messing things up.

This suggestion seems to help in a lot of things. I recently used this to fix an unrelated problem in IE9b.

Nope I have already been through all the setting with no change. Unhooked Java - no change.
Not serious, as it is still in Beta. I have4 logged it as a possible bug with Ms but meanwhile I,ll waiot for the final release.

Curiously, I connect to the net via a wireless router and I have never had a problem. I use a netgear box and all I do is type routerlogin into the address box (or "one box" or whatever it is called) and I can access the settings page. My IE9b install has nothing special. Quite strange!

Same here. IE9 Beta has hard times navegating inside my SB 6120 Motorola cable modem (http://192.168.100.1) and E2000 Linksys/Cisco router (http://192.168.1.1)WEB pages.
Difficulties go from very long time to access the pages to the need to click several times to open the pages or change to other page.
I have tried IE9 Beta several times since its launching with the same results.
Interestingly, IE9 Beta works correctly on the WEB pages outside my modem and router.
Needless to say that IE8 works flawlessly on same pages.
Hope RC corrects this bug.

Motorola SB 5101 cable modem and D-Link DIR-655 here, no problems that I know of. The cable modem belongs to my ISP so about all I do is check the status page when my internet goes down. This last week I've been into my router setup quite a bit, changing some settings etc. No lockups or long delays that I noticed. Is everybody using the 32-bit version of IE 9?

EDIT: I don't use any of the bundled setup software for my router. I log in by typing in the IP address in the IE address bar. I'm not sure if its relevant but this PC has a static IP address. I could have sworn there was an IE (no add-ons) shortcut in the start menu somewhere but at the moment I can't find it on this PC. Maybe it was for IE 8. If someone locates it maybe give that a try and see if things improve.

I would recommend to just wait until Feb. 10th for the official release of the IE9 RC build at the IE9 homepage link on the first page of this thread. It's not that far away now, and better than risking the security of your system with a possible infected illegal download.
