Hi, Having a problem with my existing motherboard, so I've decided to install a new one, along with a new processor. My question is, can I leave my operating system and apps on the existing SSD and just move them to the new mobo? I have Windows 7 Ultimate Upgrade.

I think the upgrade counts as retail, if so that bit should be fine. If you end up ringing MS , they will be fine about having to replace mobo.

The os itself might have a problem booting on new hardware, so you can use paragon p2p adjust to fix that.

Make Windows 7 bootable after motherboard swap
