I've never noticed a lag like you are seeing.
I haven't changed memory in many years ...
Even if things look right to me, I'd consider a BIOS reset, and start from there if I had your issue ...
I tweak many things in BIOS including voltages, RAM settings, enabled devices, ..., so I prefer not to do a reset until I try other options.
First I would make some "insignificant change" such as changing boot priority and save the changes.
That change/save might "fix" some other setting ... before doing a BIOS reset.
My PCs are old and have legacy BIOS.
If you have a newer PC with UEFI, my advice may not help.
You should fill in your SF System Specs.

If I did need to try a re-install, I would make a System Backup Image and Backup all data before the re-install.
On my PCs, dual channel is not possible with 3 of 4 RAM slots used.
