Yep, because Newegg has a site (distribution center) in North Jersey, but yet you can`t go there to buy stuff, stupid.

If you have a store in your home state, you will get charged tax. Well at least in NJ

I forget how I dug up the number before, but I remember calling them and asking if I could come to the store and they said no, only online orders, but if I have to pay tax, what`s the point in driving an hour and 20 minutes.

There is a dist. center in Memphis, TN and that's where I get parts from when I order something from Newegg.....it's about an hour and a half across the state line

Probably, I mean that`s all they have right ? Not like Tiger, where you can walk in and buy things, but the store in Christiana, DE had diddly squat for sale, not even 1 single 700 series card on the shelf

I thought Newegg was started in California as a brick and mortar store then branched to the internet. I know Tiger Direct has stores in Fla, and I have to pay tax because of that. But, the taxing issue used to be where you take delivery, not where it was sold. I used to have to deal with that a lot.

That`s exactly what it was, saw that article too. They try to sell as much as they can in a couple days, good idea in my opinion. If you live near it that is.

Well, where I live... We have to shop via the internet unless, you want to travel at least 3.5 hours in any direction just to reach some form of civilization. I should own stock in Newegg.com for all the business I throw at them! I used to live in Ventura County many years ago when I first got out of the Marines. I do not miss the Peoples Republick of Kalifornia! Most of my family still lives there but, I don't know why. Between Taxes, Gov. Brown and the traffic in SoCal... I would blow my brains out if I had one!

I don't think taxes will get any better here we are the mecca of Hollywood and Glitz and glamour

Hell people look at this place as the perfect place to be before they discover living here takes a millionaires salary lol ,and we make no where near millionaires you can believe that

No matter what I was born and raised Californian true native so to me no where else is home
I couldn't imagine living in any other state just not the same

What do you make of this?

Initially I went and overclocked my A4-5300k to 4000 MHz but as it turned out, I left the turbo-core on.

Speccy shows an abnormally high temperature for some reason, so I had SpeedFan open alongside it. (Displays as Fahrenheit rather than Celsius; Speccy reports 77.8C, SpeedFan reports 41.7C)

Check your cpu temp in the bios.

+1 Running more than 1 software to monitor cpu with cause conflict's/false reading's. Only ever use one software to monitor a certain component...

So as I let my new cooler settle for a few days (still haven't added better fans yet) I got the itch to play again. As you have seen I have managed a few good OC's but had to use intel extreme tuning to add some volts. I was thinking, well now that I have a better psu and cooler maybe I will have better luck going straight bios. Before the upgrades 4.6 was pretty much it going straight bios. So now I tried again, 4.7 worked then 4.8 booted but the had the dreaded explorer stopped responding.

Then I tried going with just the msi software (control center) but no intel tuning. Last try before the upgrades I hit 4.9 but 5.0 was not happening, so I resorted to the Intel software. This time without the intel software 5.0 worked , then 5.1 worked. kept going 5.2 and 5.3 worked.

I'm all excited tried 5.4 and it ran, tried to validate but crashed.
