I have had a dual boot setup with XP pro and RC 7 for a number of months. I have purchased a Window 7 license and intend to install it soon.

I have two HD's. One, HD 0 has 8 partitions, XP-C, Data, Applications, Pictures, Downloads, Tempfiles, Software, and RC 7-O.

My question is: Will all of the Applications have to be reloaded, or will the settings transfer utility, recognize their location?

Tom

You might want to try this first, as many have reported it works really well:

Upgrade the Windows 7 RC to any retail version Icrontic Tech

Of course those running the RC haven't really experienced the full speed of Win7 RTM, however a good standard to hold it to is instantaneous response. This is what those who have used this workaround are reporting, so it might be worth a try.
