OK, I tried going through services.msc to make sure nothing there was perhaps disabled, then tried Brink's suggestion and unplugged/uninstalled and/or disabled printers and other peripherals one by one. No change. Then I unplugged the w/mouse and uninstalled the driver, rebooted, plugged it back in, let Windows install a driver and everything works again!!!! Bloody computer, grrrrrrrrrr![]()
Thanks again fellas, really appreciate the help we deadheads get from this site.
ok, if anybody is still out there reading this after all these years, please help me.
I have the same problem --- screen saver does not work --- and I have a wireless mouse in the system. When I first plugged in the USB receiver for the wireless mouse, Windows automatically installed the driver(s).
Should I uninstall the driver(s) and, if so, how do I do that?
Or, do you think the cause of my issue is different?
Or, do you think I should just set a mouse trap?
Thanks!
