Remove Hibernate- elevated cmd prompt type powercfg -h off and hit enter. It will appear to have done nothing but wii free up space on the SSD -the same amount as how much ram you have installed. you will not have hibernate as a shutdown option.

First impression about SSD : it's much faster than hdd's.
If i'd have more money, i would buy another 2, about 500 GB each
Everything runs faster, even when i made a back up of C partition, and stored on the hdd, i cannot compare with HDD's. Every cent is worth.
I disabled hibernation, actually i always did that on Windows 7. What do you think about the option "turn off harddisk after 20 minutes" ?
It is in Control Panel /Power Options / but i guess you know what i'm talking about.
Should i leave 20 minutes ? Can i change that ? Which harddisk is about ? OS harddisk ?

I have mine set to never turn off and my monitor to turn off in 45 minutes. As far as I know that is the OS hard disk.

You will want to set yours to never turn off. On OCZ SSDs at least once a week you need to start from a cold start and let it idle on the login screen for 2 hours. That causes them to do 'garbage collection' which keeps the SSD clean and running right. I also presume you know how to put your libraries on another hard drive to save space and add a little security?

I think he means moving your user folders with the Location tab in Properties. And the extra secutity you get because your data is out of the way when your system crashes.

I do, however, now prefer to make new user folders (Documents, Music, etc. ) in a seperate partition and move my own data into there. I then INCLUDE those folders into the respective libraries. This way the original user folders stay on C and are available for the the various programs as repository of their own files and do not get mixed with my data.

I have a problem with Acronis True Image. After i installed everything / configured, etc i made a backup. Today i tried to recovery the image. It was no problem during recovery, in about 3 minutes it was done, but the pc couldn't boot. There is the message " you have to wait 25 seconds....etc... and then Windows should start, but there i wait, and nothing happent anymore. I tried to reboot, pressed DEL to get into BIOS, couldn't. Even F12, quick boot i couldnt access. So i turned off the computer, pressed the button in the rear of my case, named CLR CMOS, and i reset the BIOS.
Now i'm under IDE. That way i can reboot, AHCI, no.
What happent ?
If i leave it on IDE would be a bad idea ?

Try to boot again and go to BIOS. You can losd optimized defaults there. Then reset bios they way you like it and saveamd exit see if you can boot. If not, put in your repair disk and boot to it, go to startup repair and try that at least 3 times with boot attempts in between.

And down on the left side, under "controller" word, a line is blinking, and on the right side are the seconds ( countdown ) but on second 23 nothing happent anymore.
Actually i always see this message + seconds, but is very fast, about 2-3 seconds, and then Windows is starting.
Now, after i recovery the backup image, something is wrong, and i guess there is nothing bad / wrong with the OS.

And when this "error" happent, with AHCI on BIOS, if i try to reboot and press DEL or F12 ( quick boot ) to go into BIOS, i can't.
So i cannot acces BIOS unless i change back to IDE.

I'm not sure I understand. Even if you can't boot, your computer should post(which is what I think you are seeing). It is during post that you push delete or whatever key you push to get tnto bios. With it in IDE you should be able to boot anyway. When you pushed reset cmos, you resest bios, you need to get back in there to set it back up. Can you boot into your System repair disk? If so boot into that and choose other options and select startup repair.

I can only boot with CD, when is on IDE.
I try now. But, if there would be something wrong with the OS, i couldn't boot on IDE.
But when is on IDE, Windows is working great.

That's very annoying. If i leave it on IDE, do i have some disadvantages, IDE vs AHCI ?
If i have AHCI i cannot acces BIOS or F12 ( quick boot )
But i could, yesterday. I dont know what's wrong.

Yes, usually. You normally get better performance from your SSD, you enable NCQ(native command queing) and hot swap. But, if you were in AHCI mode when you took the backup image, you should have the ahci drivers loaded and be able to boot in ahci mode. That is the part I don't understand. Are you sure you were in AHCI mode to begin with?

I'm 100 % sure i were in AHCI mode when i installed Windows, and until 30-50 minutes ago.
I don't understand what's wrong. And i wanna use AHCI, not IDE.
Let me explain something, please. Before i made the backup, i changed something.
It's about hotswap icon. I didn't wanna have it there because i find it useless.Anyway.
This commands i added in command promt, to get ride of hotswap icon.

reg.exe add "HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\msahci\Controller0\Channel0" /f /v TreatAsInternalPort /t REG_DWORD /d 0x00000001"
And of course, channel 1 / 2 / for another hdd's
After i added this to command promt, i restarted my pc, everything was fine.No more hotswap icon.
Do you think, that could be the problem ?
Should i try to recover the backup image, again, with the Acronis CD Recovery ?

If you have already recovered the image, doing it again will only give you what you have right now.
Try this, go into regedit go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services, in the left pane click "msahci", tell me what the value is. If it is 0 that should mean ahci is enabled if it is 3 that should mean IDE. Don't change anything yet. Also go to device manager and expand Ide ATA/ATAPI controllers and tell me what drivers you see at the bottom of that list.

Here's my problem. In device manager you have both AHCI drivers and IDE drivers there. Wit a couple of registry entries, you can go back to ahci mode. But, with the change you made to the registry I don't know what will happen then. Do you have anything in the computer that is connected by IDE such as an IDE CD/DVD?

I have :
2 x HDD SATA
1 X DVD RW SATA
1 X SSD SATA
No IDE device.
I would install Windows again, if i'd know that everything is gonna be fine.
Is maybe my keyboard ( PS2 ) a problem ? I wouldn't think so.
